Neste texto vou comentar algumas dicas sobre o dia a dia de minha feliz estada em Malta. Eu também já falei que escolhi a simpática cidade de Sliema, onde fica um dos portos e onde há graciosos prédios baixos com as típicas varandas (foto). Sliema tem muitos restaurantes, lojas variadas, dois shoppings (o menor 'The Plaza' e o maior 'The Point Shopping Mall'), supermercados, lojas de lembranças, hotéis etc. Além disso, a cidade é considerada mais calma que o vizinho Saint Julian, onde estão os bares e boites em Paceville (se você quiser vida noturna agitada).

Eu costumava ir a 3 supermercados: Scotts, perto da Igreja paroquial de Stella Maris, na (rua) Trik Amery, subindo a rua do hotel Days Inn (Trik Katidral). O Tower, na Trik Il-Kbira (rua escondida ao lado da principal Trik Torri), é muito maior e com muito mais variedade. Há um mercado bom dentro do shopping Point, mas os preços em geral são mais caros.

Antes de viajar para qualquer lugar, eu pesquiso outros blogs, sites especializados em viagem, o site oficial do país e sobre o clima do lugar. Sobre Malta eu sabia que encontraria um lugar lindo, com várias opções de passeios e bastante quente em junho e julho.

Eu já sabia que havia viagens de um dia para a Sicília, a ilha italiana onde fica o vulcão Etna. Eu arrisquei e não me arrependi, embora fosse cansativo. Eu comprei o tíquete pelo site e a agência de viagens me pegou no hotel às 5:30 da manhã! Havia um grupo na van e nós fomos de Malta para Pozzalo, na Sicília, através de Ferry (a viagem dura 2 horas). De Pozzalo a Taormina passamos mais 3 horas dentro do ônibus. Finalmente, conhecemos a linda Taormina e depois o poderoso Etna. Quer dizer, fomos até a metade da montanha de teleférico pela módica quantia de 30 Euros. Se você quiser ir até o topo da montanha, você paga a "bagatela" de 64 Euros.

Quando olho para minhas fotos, tenho certeza de que estava no lugar certo para passar 4 semanas estudando inglês. É claro que, quando me lembro de minhas aulas, minha professora e meus colegas, confirmo esse pensamento. Quando você vê essas fotos, concorda comigo?

In this text I will provide some tips on the day by day of my happy stay in Malta. I also mentioned that I chose the friendly town of Sliema, where one of the harbors is located and there are graceful low-rise buildings with typical balconies.

Sliema has many restaurants, varied stores, two malls (the smallest 'The Plaza' and the bigest 'The Point shopping Mall'), supermarkets, souvenirs stores, hotels etc. Besides, the city is considered calmer than the neighbor Saint Julian, where are the bars and boites in Paceville (if you want to go to night life).

I used to go to 3 supermarkets: Scotts, near the parish church of Stella Maris, on Trik Amery, up the street from the Days Inn (Trik Katidral). The Tower supermarket, at Trik Il-Kbira (hidden street next to the main, Trik Torri), is much larger and with much more variety. There is a good supermarket inside the shopping mall Point; but prices in general are more expensive there.

Before traveling anywhere, I research other blogs, travel websites, the country's official website and the climate of the place. About Malta I knew that I would find a beautiful place, with several options of sightseeing and quite warm in June and July.

I have already knew there was one day trips for Sicily, the Italian island where is the Etna volcano. I took the risk and I didn't regret, although it was tiring. I bought the ticket by website and the travel agency picked me up at hotel at 5:30 am! There was a group in the van and we were from Malta to Pozzalo, in Sicily, by ferry (the trip last 2 hours). From Pozzalo to Taormina we spent 3 hours inside the bus. Finally, we knew the beautiful Taormina and then the powerful Etna. I mean, we went until half of the mountain paying 30 Euros to the cable car. If you want to go to the top of mountain, you pay 64 Euros.

When I look to my photos, I'm sure that I was in the right place to spend 4 weeks studying English. Of course, when I remember my classes, my teacher and my colleagues I confirm this thought. When do you see this photos, do you agree with me?
